Aksaray University Concludes ErasmusDays 2026

Aksaray University marked ErasmusDays 2026 with five days of information sessions, experience-sharing activities, sports and environmental initiatives. The events introduced students to the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ while highlighting intercultural exchange, healthy living and environmental awareness.

On the first day, students attended an introduction to the Erasmus+ Programme and Erasmus projects, learning about international mobility and project opportunities. Students who had previously participated in Erasmus mobility then shared their experiences. Their accounts of studying and living abroad gave prospective participants a first-hand insight into academic and social life in different countries.

The second day featured a Pilates session led by Assistant Professor Gülsen Tosun Tunç. Reflecting the sport and healthy living dimension of Erasmus+, the activity highlighted the importance of physical and mental well-being. It also demonstrated how sport can bring people from different cultural backgrounds together and encourage participation and cooperation.

On the third day, the School of Foreign Languages hosted a “Tea O’clock” event. Wiktor, Masanoshin and Khalid, students undertaking Erasmus mobility at Aksaray University, met with preparatory-year students to share their Erasmus experiences. The informal gathering offered students an opportunity to practise their English, discover different cultures and ask questions about Erasmus mobility directly to current participants.

The fourth day featured a webinar consisting of two sessions. The first focused on Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchanges, while the second provided information about Europass. The sessions introduced opportunities for young people to take part in international projects and tools to help them present their education, skills and experience.

ErasmusDays 2026 concluded with the “Hand in Hand for a Clean Campus” activity, during which participants cleaned a designated area of the campus. In line with the environmental sustainability priorities of Erasmus+, the activity drew attention to the protection of shared spaces and the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining a clean campus.

Throughout the five-day programme, ErasmusDays 2026 connected students with international learning opportunities while emphasising the value of intercultural exchange, healthy living and shared environmental responsibility in university life.
