The International Staff Week events organized by Aksaray University (ASÜ) International Relations Office started with an enthusiastic start. Within the scope of the Erasmus+ program, 21 academicians from 13 different countries came to our university to carry out teaching and training mobility.

The first day of the events started with an introductory program organized for the participants. Following the presentations introducing the academic, administrative and social opportunities of Aksaray University, the participating academicians also made presentations about their own universities and internationalization activities in their institutions.

The opening speech of the program was made by Aksaray University International Relations Office Coordinator Melayib Bilgin. Expressing their pleasure in hosting the guests on behalf of Aksaray University, Bilgin stated that this year's event theme is "Promoting Sustainability in Higher Education". Emphasizing that universities play an important role in building a better and greener future, Bilgin stated that information, ideas and experiences will be shared throughout the week. He also stated that they hoped that this event would open doors to new collaborations and strong international partnerships, and wished all participants a successful and inspiring week.

In the continuation of the program, participants came together with our university Rector Prof. Dr. Alpay Arıbaş for lunch and exchanged ideas. At the end of the first day, a workshop titled “Embedding Sustainability in Higher Education: Strategies and Best Practices” was organized for international participants by Dr. Lecturer Ebru Koçak, one of our university faculty members.
